IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)

IBS, or Irritable Bowel Syndrome, is one of the most common disorders of the gastrointestinal tract today and, sadly, it is also one of the least responsive to common medical treatment.
Basically, that means that the large majority of people suffering from this condition have simply gotten to a point of accepting this disease as something they will have to live with for the rest of their lives.

It truly saddens me when I hear the stories of people who have spent years suffering from the (often continual) attacks of bloating, pain, cramping, diarrhea and / or constipation. You simply reach a point of either having to constantly resort to medications for a bit of temporary relief (at the cost of other side-effects) or simply learning to “deal with it” and having to accept that your quality of life will never be the same again.

And the part about that that saddens me the most is knowing how IBS is truly one of THE MOST RESPONSIVE conditions to the sciences of Hypnosis, NLP and EFT – It is not at all uncommon at all for me to find a person, after even just one session, experiencing DRAMATIC relief from the same symptoms he or she had been continually suffering from for much of their lives!

How is this possible?
Simply put, the mind and gut are extremely linked and issues such as underlying anxieties, unresolved fears or traumas and unrecognized stressors can very easily lead to the symptom manifestations of IBS. Now when we use the powerful tools of hypnosis, NLP and EFT in helping your mind to:

Test / Interview Anxiety

The fear of taking tests is a perfectly normal, natural and rational human response. Whenever it comes to anything where we perceive ourselves as capable of being judged or facing the possibility of rejection or failure, it is quite normal to feel some level of nervousness or jitteriness. However, for some of us, test taking can become an absolute nightmare!

Some people can find themselves living in a constant state of dread of that moment when their brains simply “go blank” on them. Others experience gastrointestinal problems, headaches, profuse sweating and, for a smaller proportion of the population, full-blown panic attacks.
And, unfortunately, these more severe symptoms are actually more commonplace than you would imagine. As a matter of fact, test anxiety has become so wide-spread that it has even been identified as a debilitating psychological syndrome by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Although the reasons for test and interview anxiety can be a number of things – You may have failed a test before and the consequences were unraveling to you. You may have “gone blank” when a tough question came your way, or it may have been a completely different kind of situation that left you feeling out of control or afraid of being judged or rejected. In any case, the fear and anxiety accompanied with taking a test or being interviewed needs to be dealt with and taken care of in order for you to stand the very best chances of success in all areas of your life!

When it comes to working with you on your test and interview anxieties, I can help you to, literally, re-program your deepest, unconscious thoughts and feelings such that you will walk in to that test or interview feeling calm, confident and absolutely certain of yourself.
Of course that is not to say you will become overly-confident or foolhardy and not prepare for the big day. Control Anger

Are you in control of your anger or is your anger in control of you?

Seriously… Think about it… Do you get road-rage? Do you throw a fit when your child doesn’t listen to you or talks back? Do you sometimes just “lose it” or “see red” when a specific person says or does something to you?

Or, perhaps, it’s not “situational” anger that has got you, maybe you’re simply unable to release a hurt or anger from your past…

Is there still that one person you simply cannot manage to forgive? Can your blood still boil (or tears start running) when you think about a specific past event?

Either way, simply put, you are letting anger rule and control your life!

Now, for many of us this can seem like it’s not that big a deal – Just avoid that person, stay out of that situation or don’t think about that event and life is great… Right?
Well, actually, No!
When you are still AFFECTED (or, even more-so, AFFECT-ABLE) by people and situations, on a deeper level, that means that you are carrying around a large hurt, fear or resentment that MUST be healed in order for you to truly live a healthy, fully functional and happy life.

I see it every day with my clients – A “small” anger, once uncovered, will always lead us back to a past pain that they have either managed to ignore, repress or contain at the dire cost of their own wellbeing.
